This is the first card I made using resist technique. (I want to try resist technique for so long, but never came to the point to experience it.) The result is quiet stunning, even my teenage son commented how pretty it is.

Although I am not a tomboy, nobody will ever think of me as feminine. That definately reflects to my works–graphic design, illustration, card-making, etc. Hence this handmade card is first ever that’s really feminine (I think).

A love card using black color. I know I know, some people don’t like to use black as greeting color, but you can’t deny that it really stands out! I believe this card represents another aspect of love–the love that is too profound to bear. >_<

(This is my first card featuring in “The 10 Days of Valentine’s”.)

One important category of my own patterns is heart, which looks simple to draw but it actually requires some time to draw a perfect result. I often repeat my “doodling” until I got a satisfied result.
This heart pattern is from my “An Easy Valentine’s Card”. I like it’s shape a lot! If you like it as much as me, you can print out the picture shown above, enlarge the heart and trace around it to get this pattern. I though of making it a “real pattern” for you by scanning it first and refine it using Adobe Illustrator. But that’s time-consuming and very likely I won’t finish it until next year’s Valentine’s day. xD

My son made this Africa mask for school’s history project and earned lots of praise.
He used half of the milk carton as his paper-mache base, cut three holes as a mouth and eyes. The nose part is actually the handle of the milk carton. The he decorated it with acrylic paints, some feathers and black-and-white paper-mosaics.
Hope you get some ideas if your kids need to make a mask too.

記得我的第一張Very First Doily Card嗎?
